I don’t know about you, but as my eyes get older it gets harder and harder to do eye makeup.

I do have an awesome 10x mirror at home which lights up (like this one), but it’s not practical to take in a suitcase.

I used to have this suction cup light up mirror. It worked ok, but it would fall and snap often, it was awkward leaning across the bathroom counter to get close enough to see in the mirror and the “light” was more for decoration 🤣. It didn’t actually light up much at all.

SO, this last trip I put a few different things together and WOW.

This Gooseneck Mirror works great at home or travel. It clips to anything, mirror, door, medicine cabinet, shower, towel bar or ring, etc. It has a strong flexible neck which sticks out just the perfect amount so I don’t have to lean across the countertop to see. It also works great to clamp anywhere behind me so I can turn around and see the back of my head in the full mirror (I like to keep my hands free while styling, especially with heat).

10 or 20x Suction Cup Mirror I’ve had one of these forever, but it never worked well in any situation I tried it in, except for hand held. I don’t know about you, but I need both hands to do eyeliner. The suction cups are constantly falling off no matter how clean they and the surface are, and I can’t angle it differently so it’s a pain in the neck (literally) trying to strain in a position to see.

Mini Ring Light on a Clamp this was the magic ingredient I was missing. The clamp is just strong enough to support the suction cups actually sticking to the mirror and the light is suuuuper helpful to see what I’m doing.

VOILA!

I don’t have to lean across the countertop (which may or may not be clean), my “wise” (aka older) eyes can see with magnification and lots of light, and I can even see the back of my head without propping up a mirror on the hotel coffee machine (true story).

I also have this version of a mini ring light (somewhere) but I haven’t tested it yet to see if the clamp is strong enough but really like it a lot for use on my camera.

The gooseneck mirror clamp works anywhere!

LOVE it, wanted to share in case anyone is like me having a hard time. #firstworldproblems
